Community Planter painting, BBQ and kid's DIY

Waitaki Menz Shed, Mitre 10 MEGA Oamaru and Waitaki District Council have been working together on revitalisation project for Thames Street coming in February 2025 . Fifteen planters built by the Menz Shed, are part of a painting competition sponsored by Mitre 10 this summer.

You can pick up your entry form at Mitre 10 Oamaru, plan your planter and get it back by Monday 12 January 2025. Winning designs will be announced on Friday 17.

Then everyone is invited to come along to a free community event at Friendly Bay on January 25 from 10am - 2pm.

Planters will be painted with winning entry designs while Mitre 10 MEGA Oamaru provide a free BBQ for the community and a free kids' pot painting workshop. See you there!
