Our Waitaki Souper Soup Sipper is a taste of the Waitaki, celebrating the richness of the land, the creativeness of the people and the joy of eating!

Here to help banish the winter chill, this year’s Souper Soup Sipper goes beyond Ōamaru to the wider Waitaki District.

Featuring twenty-one of Waitaki’s best hospitality venues that have over thirty soups on offer during the Souper Soup Sipper period. 

From 6 - 28 July, you can enjoy a different soup every day, knowing that many of the ingredients are sourced locally, it's made with love and shared with joy.

Soup Sipper Passport 

This year the Waitaki Souper Soup Sipper is introducing a ‘Soup Sipper’ Passport. Visit participating outlets around the district and collect a stamp either on paper (see ad in the Oamaru Mail on 5 July) or by E-Passport on the Waitaki App mywaitakiapp.nz/soup 

Try five or more of the many delicious soups on offer and you can go into the draws for a $30 voucher donated by each of the participating businesses. That's a total of 21 vouchers with a total value of $630.00! The more you soup, the more you chances you have to win.

Prize draw breakdown:

• 20 stamps – one winner of 4 vouchers, value of $120
• 15 stamps – one winner of 3 vouchers, value of $90
• 10 stamps – two winners of 2 vouchers, value of $60
• 5 stamps – six winners of 1 voucher, value $30
