District Plan Review timeline

In 2022 we released a Draft District Plan to give the community an opportunity to provide informal feedback - for us to know if we are on the right track or not. Public feedback on our Draft District Plan ran for 12 weeks and closed at the end of August 2022.

Following this feedback, Council considered what changes needed to be made and we are now about to jump into the more formal part of the District Plan Review – public notification of the Proposed District Plan. It’s only at the Proposed stage that some of the new rules will start to have effect. 

Feedback on the Proposed District Plan opens 1 March 2025 and runs until 9 May 2025. More information on how to submit will be coming soon.
