Consumers on the PALMERSTON, DUNBACK AND GOODWOOD Zones of the WAIHEMO WATER SUPPLY are asked to CONSERVE WATER over the 2024/25 summer period.
Council provides and maintains public toilets, which are located throughout the district next to beaches, parks, walks and other visitor attractions. All our public toilets are available at no charge, with the majority of them open 24 hours. The toilets are cleaned on a regular basis, according to their location and the level of use.
The maps below show the location of public toilets within the district.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding any of the these amenities, please contact us.
Please wait while we load your map...
We provide a caravan and campervan dump station (for caravan toilet waste) in Oamaru. Camping grounds within the district also have caravan dump stations. For more information please go to dump stations page.
You can read our plan (below) to provide a way forward for Council’s provision of public toilet and dump station facilities over the next ten years.
In developing the plan, we have considered how the provision of toilets and dump stations contributes to Council’s vision for "Waitaki - the best place to be!".
