Looking at this project we decided that we wanted to create a style of plaque that is a little different for the sponsorship and look at how we can create a feature within the space of the new centre.
The triangle shape came about as it is geometrically interesting with how they connect to each other and the image that can be created when there is a large quantity of them. We feel the shape is also a representation of Waitaki, two triangles connected together make a W. It has connections with the main sponsor of Network Waitaki and their own logo and it also represents the Waitaki Valley in our landscape with our mountains and valleys that connect together.
This also reflects the importance of inclusion for the whole community with this particular project and for the connection to the centre overall. With that, we can offer 3 size options for the triangles, which are being sold for 3 different values, allowing groups and individuals to be able to afford to make a contribution, however big or small, depending on their own budget.
The three sizes interconnect with one another and will allow us to create an engaging piece for the centre.
