Teen Advisory Group (TAG)

Back for 2024!
 
Calling all teens! Your library needs you!  We are always on the lookout for creative young minds to join our teen advisory group (TAG).
 
TAG is a place where you can share your ideas about the library's teen programs, services and collections. Members meet on the fourth Thursday of the month at the Ōamaru Library to discuss ideas for the future, and work on projects and programs of their choosing - such as our Quiz Night, and Movie Night, at the Ōamaru Public Library!
Our TAG works on range of stuff like:
  • Advising on ways to connect with youth
  • Organising performances or events
  • Developing website content

The deets...

  • TAG is free to join
  • Open to 13-19 year olds
  • Takes about 4 hours a month
  • Looks awesome on your CV
  • Gives you a chance to influence what happens in your community
  • Develops leadership and project management skills
  • An opportunity to meet new people
