Consumers on the PALMERSTON, DUNBACK AND GOODWOOD Zones of the WAIHEMO WATER SUPPLY are asked to CONSERVE WATER over the 2024/25 summer period.

The Network Waitaki Event Centre Project Board has received proposals from three shortlisted companies for a Design/ Build contract for the Network Waitaki Event Centre.
These have been assessed and the highest scoring proposal has been invited to work with the Project Board to refine their design.
Project Board Chair, Geoff Douch, said ‘we received some exciting designs, and our job now is to refine this to ensure the facility delivers the best fit for our community within the project budget’.
To support this, the Project Board will meet with the with representatives from users to review the concept and obtain their thoughts.
The Waitaki Event Centre Trust is closing in on its funding target with an application submitted to the Otago Community Trust.
Trust member Adair Craik said ‘This is a key step forward. Conversations with the Otago Community Trust have been positive, and we anticipate a decision in September’.
Further applications are planned for the Lottery ‘Community Facility’ and ‘Significant Project’ funds when they open.
While no contracts for the build have yet been signed, this marks an important step in the process of delivering the Network Waitaki Event Centre.
