Apollo Projects has confirmed the timeframe for works to begin on the Network Waitaki Events Centre.
Works will begin within the next week, and the main construction is anticipated to begin in September.

Timeframe
• 15th of July, Whitestone Contracting will be on-site to commence the trench excavation for the new Events Centre mains cable and transformer.
• 22nd of July, Network Waitaki will be on-site installing the Event Centre transformer and mains cable.
• 15th of July through to the 5th of August, the existing Grandstand will be decommissioned, services disconnected, and the asbestos containing materials removed.
• 5th of August, the Grandstand demolition will be commenced, which will take approximately 7-8 weeks – targeted to be complete by late September.
• 23rd of September Apollo Projects (the design-build contractor) will establish on-site and commence construction of the Event Centre, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of February 2026.
