From Tuesday April 5, Waitaki District Council meetings will be live streamed on YouTube
After some of the connectivity challenges we have had with streaming on Facebook, and the positive experience had by other councils with YouTube, a decision was made to move to this platform. We will still provide a link via our Facebook page after the meeting for those who prefer to watch things here.
Please note: this change only applies to Council meetings. Public meetings (such as the Carbon Farming public meeting held in Weston last year) will still be livestreamed on Facebook from time to time.
Moving to YouTube will provide a better watching experience, with people able to access high-definition videos; a wider reach as not everyone is on Facebook. Anyone will be able to access the videos via our website and from now on people can easily access previous meetings as a matter of public record. Tomorrow's meeting is the Community, Culture and Regulatory meeting.
