Instead of going into Council Head Office at 20 Thames Street for enquiries and Council services, you can pop into Ōamaru Library at 62 Thames Street during the week or on a Saturday morning.
Opened in 2011, this playground is located at Oamaru Harbour’s Friendly Bay, next to Oamaru’s popular historic precinct.
The playground is a must-see destination for kids of all ages, who'll love its unique and exciting range of equipment. This includes the famous penny farthing swing, a pirate ship, a giant elephant and flying fox, parallel bars and a 'hamster' wheel.
There are public toilets in easy proximity, coin-operated barbecues for public use, and a specially designed steampunk drinking fountain.
