In exercise of the power contained in Section 24A of the Reserves Act 1977, public notice is hereby given that Waitaki District Council, being the administering body for the Local Purpose (Passive Recreation) Reserve fronting Gordon and Wynyard Streets, Kurow, in the District of Waitaki, notifies its intention to re-classify part of the reserve for Local Purpose (Community Buildings) Reserve.
EXPLANATION
The Waitaki Valley Health Trust is seeking an alternative site for a community health and wellness hub with a much-enhanced capability. The preferred site is the Council owned reserve land situated on the corner of Gordon and Wynyard Streets, Kurow. The intention is to re-classify a portion of the reserve to allow Waitaki District Council administer the portion of reserve for the proposed land use. Legalisation survey and hence subdivision consent will be required to give effect to the proposed re-classification.
PURPOSE
To re-classify the reserve land for Local Purpose (Community Buildings) Reserve comprising the land described as Part Lot 11, DP 20563, and comprising 3858m2 (subject to survey).
FURTHER INFORMATION
A plan showing the portion of reserve involved may be inspected at the Council Offices, 20 Thames Street, Oamaru. Detailed enquires should be directed in the first instance to Rachel McNeill, Property Officer (433 0300). Persons wishing to object to the intended re-classification must lodge their objections with the Chief Executive, Waitaki District Council, in writing not later than one month after the publication of this public notice.
