Public Notice Of Proposal to Incorporate Material By Reference Into The Proposed Waitaki District Plan
This public notice is made in accordance with Clause 34 of Schedule 1 of the Resource Management Act 1991.
All material proposed to be incorporated by reference into the Proposed Waitaki District Plan can be viewed from 3 March 2025 at the following locations during business hours (check our Contact us page for hours).
- Waitaki District Council Headquarters: 20 Thames Street, Ōamaru
- Waihemo Service Centre: 54 Tiverton Street, Palmerston
- Otematata Community Library: Lakes Centre, West Road, Otematata
Due to copyright restrictions, this does not include any New Zealand Standards. Copies of New Zealand Standards can be purchased from www.standards.govt.nz.
Submissions on the proposal to incorporate material by reference into the Proposed Waitaki District Plan can be made in the following ways:
- Online: www.waitaki.govt.nz/proposed-district-plan
If you choose not to use the online form, written submissions need to be made using a Form 5, (as required by the Resource Management Act 1991). This form is available from Council offices and district libraries. If you’re not submitting online, you can send your Form 5 by:

- Post: Planning Unit, Waitaki District Council, Private Bag 50058, Ōamaru, 9444
- In person: Drop off your Form 5 at Council offices in Ōamaru and Palmerston
Submissions on the Proposed Waitaki District Plan must be received no later than Friday 9 May 2025.
