AF8 roadshow rocks in to Ōmārama

Thames Street trial ends this weekend

The six-week Streetscape trial on Lower Thames Street, East Bank on Thames, will end this weekend with the project team and other contributing contractors removing the extended pedestrian area, planters, beams and other features of the trial on Sunday 30 March.

Water treatment solutions in place for Ōmārama and Lake Ōhau

Residents of Ōmārama and Lake Ōhau are benefiting from Waitaki District Council’s investment in long-term water treatment infrastructure in the Ahuriri ward.

Lake Ōhau’s new water treatment plant, the first for the village, was commissioned earlier this month. This follows the replacement of the Ōmārama water treatment plant in 2024.

Conserve water notice for Waihemo lifted

The Conserve Water Notice for the Palmerston, Dunback and Goodwood areas of the Waihemo Water Supply has been lifted, after water usage remained within consent limits over the 2024/2025 summer period.

Top Pond top priority for silt removal

Work will begin on removing around 1,045mᶾ of silt from the Top Pond, or around 1/3 of the silt in the pond, in the Oamaru Public Gardens next week.
